Southbound State Route 51 closed in Phoenix after crash

PHOENIX — Southbound State Route 51 closed in Phoenix after a crash on Saturday afternoon, officials said.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the freeway closed at Shea Boulevard.

The northbound lanes were unaffected by the closure.

ADOT advised motorists to expect delays.

There is currently no estimated time for when the highway will reopen.
