NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men’s golf will be in Burlington, North Carolina this Monday and Tuesday to compete in the Elon Phoenix Invitational. The two-day tournament will be played on the par-71, 6,871-yard course at Alamance Country Club.
The field will play 36 holes on Monday beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. ODU will tee off from holes 11-15 and will be paired with Lafayette, Long Island and Presbyterian. Tuesday’s final round will feature tee times off the first and 10th holes beginning at 8 a.m. Fans unable to attend will be able to follow along with live scoring on Golf Genius.
There will be a total of 16 teams in the tournament, with two additional schools also sending individuals. Along with the Monarchs and host Phoenix will be lineups from Charleston Southern, Dartmouth, East Carolina, Francis Marion, Gardner-Webb, Lafayette, Long Island, Longwood, North Carolina (individuals), Presbyterian, Queens University of Charlotte, Radford, Temple, UNC Greensboro (individuals), UNC Wilmington and Western Carolina.
The lineup for ODU will include Cullen Campbell, Quin Covington, Jakub Sutor, James Page and Joe MacPherson.
Old Dominion finished in eighth place at last year’s Elon Phoenix Invitational after combining for a 16-over par 868. Philip Minnehan turned in the top score for the Monarchs, tying for sixth with a six-under 207.
