Black Eyed Peas singer and Grammy award winner Taboo was not afraid of speaking from the heart in both English and Spanish to celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Monday.
Taboo was the speaker for a JPMorganChase event aimed at celebrating Hispanic and Indigenous cultures. He spoke about his grandmother who was Shoshone and lived in Jerome, Arizona, before he and his family moved to East Los Angeles.
“She was a person who would always be of service, and that’s what inspired me,” he said.
