Where to see fireworks in the Phoenix area for Fourth of July 2025

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — There are only a few days left to get your plans in order for watching fireworks on July Fourth.

Independence Day is on Friday, and several municipalities are hosting celebrations with food, fireworks and fun.

Phoenix fireworks shows

  • Light Up The Sky
  • Fabulous Phoenix Fourth
    • Steele Indian School Park
    • 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
    • Free entry. Food is available for purchase from local vendors.

East Valley fireworks shows

  • Chandler’s All-American Bash
    • Dr. A.J. Chandler Park: Stage Plaza
    • 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday, July 4
    • Performance from local band Outside the Line, beginning at 7 p.m.
    • 15-minute pyrotechnic show in lieu of fireworks, beginning at 8:15 p.m.
    • Free entry and free parking
  • Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom
  • Scottsdale 4th of July
    • WestWorld of Scottsdale
    • Doors open at 5 p.m.
    • Largest fireworks show in Scottsdale’s history, beginning at 9 p.m.
    • Tickets for indoor backyard BBQ are $50 for ages 11 and up, and $30 for kids 6 to 10. These tickets include access to air-conditioned North and South halls and Rodeo Arena, all you can eat at the M Culinary Backyard BBQ and a premium fireworks viewing area.
    • Don’t want food? Get indoor access for $25 for all ages.
    • Parking is $20 per vehicle. You can purchase a parking pass to view the fireworks with no indoor access.

  • Tempe 4th of July Celebration
    • Tempe Diablo Stadium
    • 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday, July 4
    • Drone show begins at 9:15 p.m., followed by a fireworks show.
    • Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 on the day of the event.

    • Gilbert Regional Park
    • 5 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
    • Featuring live performances, drone show and fireworks show.

West Valley fireworks shows

  • Celebrate America at Lake Pleasant
    • Pleasant Harbor
    • 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 3
    • Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
    • Presale parking admission is $30 per vehicle and $35 for vehicles with watercraft. Both prices go up by $5 on the day of the event.

  • Goodyear’s Star Spangled Fourth
    • Goodyear Ballpark
    • 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday, July 4
    • Patriotic drone show begins at 8:45 p.m.
    • Entry, parking and activities are all free.

    • 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 4
    • Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
    • Deals on picnic meals from several Westgate-area restaurants.

What to know about lighting your own fireworks in Arizona

If you’d rather light up your own fireworks, there are some important things to remember in Arizona.

Under Arizona law, use of fireworks is permitted on 27 days each year, or the time around specific holidays. Permitted fireworks are only allowed on private property and with the property owner’s consent.

The following fireworks are permitted in Arizona:

  • Sparklers
  • Smoke devices
  • Novelties
  • Ground sparkling devices
  • Sparkling wheel devices
  • Ground-based sparklers
  • Sales of novelty items such as snappers (pop-its), party poppers, glow worms, snakes, toy smoke devices, and sparklers are permitted at all times.

All aerial and exploding fireworks are illegal in Arizona and subject to confiscation or citation. Examples of prohibited fireworks:

  • Sky rockets/bottle rockets
  • Firecrackers
  • Reloadable shell device/Roman candles
  • Aerials
  • Single tube device
