Positive train control issues are prompting Metra alerts on Tuesday. Officials are working to resolve the problem, which is causing Metra delays.
CHICAGO (WLS) — Metra is working to resolve a system-wide outage impacting safety technology during the Tuesday evening commute, a spokesperson said.
The positive train control outage was impacting most train lines, but the issue is being resolved, and some trains are starting to move again, the spokesperson told ABC7.

What caused the issue was not immediately clear.
Officials did not immediately provide further information.
