Mild fall weather arrives in the Phoenix area

  • October 16, 2025

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A quiet and mild weather pattern has settled in for Arizona, leaving sunshine and cooler than normal temperatures for a few days.

In the Valley, morning temperatures in the 50s will warm to around 80 degrees today, which is about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year in Phoenix. Expect clear skies and light winds all day.

An area of low pressure moving across the Great Basin to the north of Arizona is bringing cooler and drier air into the state. That dry air means clear skies and cooler mornings. Lows will continue to drop to the 50s and low 60s for at least the next seven days.

Afternoon temperatures will start to climb a bit over the weekend ahead as high pressure builds over the Southwest. Look for a high of 84 degrees on Saturday and 88 on Sunday. Both days will be sunny.

While no rain is expected in the Valley for the next seven days, we’re watching an area of low pressure that could bring some showers to the higher elevations by the middle of next week. This system could also bring a drop in temperatures to the Valley, but there is quite a bit of uncertainty with how this will play out. We’ll keep you updated as we get closer.
