JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Atlantic Sun conference announced its preseason honorees, and Jacksonville graduate student guard Priscilla Williams is among those honored. The second-year Dolphin was named to the All-ASUN team by a unanimous vote.
She is the second preseason All-ASUN player for Jacksonville in the last two seasons.
Williams had a standout first season with the Dolphins a year ago. She averaged 12.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, all the most among returning Jacksonville players. The high-school All-American also led the team in blocks and steals last season.
She had several standout performances last year, including three games with at least 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. She scored a season-high 20 points against ASUN champions Florida Gulf Coast and tallied seven double-doubles.
Williams was one of five players unanimously named to the All-ASUN team. She was joined by Cameron Thomas (Stetson), Anovia Sheals (Austin Peay), Bree Stephens (Central Arkansas) and Liz Freihofer (EKU). Thomas was named the league’s preseason Player of the Year and Stephens was named preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
In the ASUN preseason polls, the Dolphins were picked seventh in both the coaches and media poll. Jacksonville finished seventh in the league last season.
JU opens the 2025-26 regular season Tuesday, November 3 against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers. Tip-off at Swisher Gymnasium is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
