PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Whether you’re looking for some Halloween fun or checking out a cultural festival, there’s plenty of things to do for families around the Valley this weekend.

Brick-or-Treat: Monster Party | Until Oct. 31 | Tempe

Families can get into the Halloween spirit as LEGO Monsters take over LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona and throw a Monster Party you don’t want to miss! Enjoy activities and an exclusive 4D Halloween movie.

  • Time: Open during attraction hours (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • Fee: Starting from $23

9th Annual Bulgarian Folklore Festival | Oct. 17-18 | Phoenix

Head to Phoenix Center for the Arts for a celebration of Bulgarian culture, music, dance, and traditions! This year’s festival will bring talented folklore dance groups from across the U.S. and Canada, live music, traditional instruments, cultural exhibitions, workshops, artisan vendors, and more.

  • Time: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday

Desert Foothills Book Festival | Oct. 18 | Scottsdale

Book lovers can head to the 4th Annual Desert Foothills Book Festival in Scottsdale on Saturday! Meet award-winning authors and get your copy signed. There are books for everyone, whether you enjoy mystery, romance, fantasy, historical fiction and more, there’s a perfect book for everyone.

Diwali – Festival of Lights | Oct. 18 | Tempe

Hosted by Kyrene Del Norte elementary school and City of Tempe, guests can celebrate Diwali – the festival of lights. Tempe Mayor Corey Woods will be the chief guest of honor.

There will be food, henna, face painting and performance from Desi Dance Fitness, Noopur AZ and more.

Experience Spain at the Musical Instrument Museum | Oct. 18-19 | Phoenix

Explore the sights and sounds of Spain at the Musical Instrument Museum this weekend! Experience a variety of music and dance performances, cultural talks, interactive workshops and more.

  • Time: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. all weekend
  • Fee: Included with paid museum admission; free for members

Sedona Gem & Mineral Show | Oct. 18-19 | Sedona

If you are heading up north, stop by the annual Sedona Gem and Mineral Club show is back this weekend. Visit vendors offering dazzling crystals, amethyst, colorful agates, unusual minerals, rare fossils, meteorites, custom jewelry, gemstones, beads and more.

  • Time: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Admission: $5 cash only; children 12 and under are free

Scottsdale Fall Festival | Oct. 18 | Scottsdale

Head to Scottsdale Civic Center for a free, family fun event! There will be a live band, DJ and a cocktail garden for adults. Kids can fill up their bags in Trick-or-Treat Alley, explore the Pumpkin Patch, enjoy carnival-style games, crafts, face painting and hands-on activities.

Trunk-or-Treat Festival | Oct. 18 | Glendale

Families can head to Glendale for a trunk-or-treat celebration! This family-friendly event will feature vendors and candy, all while supporting a great cause! Families are encouraged to bring canned foods to donate. Get creative with your costumes!

  • Time: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Fee: Free
  • Location: 5220 W Bell Road

UWU Con | Oct. 17-19 | Mesa

The annual UWU Con is back at Mesa Convention Center for another year with star voice actors! This year, guests can meet some voice actors of the viral Netflix film K-Pop Demon Hunters and SpongeBob himself, Tom Kenny! Guests can also check out panels with the actors, shop artist alley and participate in cosplay competitions.

  • Time: Varies by day
