TCU and Baylor had played much of Saturday’s game in rainy conditions before play was suspended the first time with over 13 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

After falling behind 28-10 in the third quarter, quarterback Sawyer Robertson led Baylor on two straight scoring drives. He completed an 18-yard touchdown pass to Jadon Porter in the third quarter and kicker Connor Hawkins converted on a 41-yard field goal to start the fourth quarter to cut TCU’s lead to 28-21.

However, just before the lightning delay, TCU running back Trent Battle broke free for a 65-yard rushing touchdown.

Play will resume with TCU leading 35-21 with 13:46 remaining in the fourth quarter.
