Phoenix to dip into low 80s after mid-90s heat

  • October 20, 2025

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — After hitting 90 degrees earlier this afternoon, the Phoenix metro will stay warm through midweek, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. But a noticeable cool-down is on the way.

Expect another pleasant evening with overnight lows dipping into the low 60s. Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s, followed by some passing clouds on Tuesday. Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 80s.

Breezy conditions return Wednesday as highs climb back into the low 90s. Then, by Thursday, a dip in the jet stream to our northeast will pull cooler air into the Valley — dropping daytime highs into the low 80s and bringing a refreshing taste of fall.

Temperatures will rebound slightly by Friday and into the weekend, with highs returning to the mid to upper 80s.

In northern Arizona, expect dry conditions through Tuesday. A chance of showers and gusty winds — with speeds up to 30 mph — will move in on Wednesday.
