PHOENIX — Builders recently broke ground on The Loop, a new industrial complex in north Scottsdale.
Phoenix-based real estate developer Creation is behind the new construction project on a 16.45-acre site near the Loop 101 Pima Freeway and Princess Drive.
The company plans to use the site for four industrial buildings, which will range in size from 54,000 to 101,000 square feet. Once construction is complete, there will be 267,000 square feet of industrial space in the area, according to Creation.
Plans drawn up by LGE Design Build call for the buildings to have space for light manufacturing, skilled assembly and industrial showroom and distribution tenants. The company also plans to install electric vehicle charging stations and environmentally-friendly landscaping.
“(Creation’s) goal was to rethink what modern industrial development can be in Scottsdale,” LGE President Mike Stafford said in a press release. “We responded to that challenge and designed a space that goes beyond function, combining the efficiency of modern industrial design with the polish of high-end retail and office environments.”
LGE is also in charge of the construction of the complex.
Creation Mountain West Principal Grant Kingdon said The Loop will add modern amenities in an area where most industrial space is outdated.
“The nearby Scottsdale Airpark submarket has essentially been built out for more than a decade,” Kingdon said. “By delivering a state-of-the-art campus in one of the most visible, connected locations in Scottsdale, we’re creating an opportunity for premier employers to grow here, fueling long-term economic vitality for Scottsdale and the region.”
Construction on The Loop, which is located within the Perimeter Center development, is expected to be complete in late 2026.
Other companies involved in The Loop industrial complex
Along with LGE, Creation partnered with PGIM Real Estate on this project. PGIM is a real estate investment and financing business operated by Prudential Financial, Inc.
JLL, a nationwide commercial real estate and investment management company, will be in charge of selling or leasing space in the buildings.
Creation is also behind several other industrial projects across the Valley, including Thunderbird Commerce Park in Scottsdale, Park Algodon in Phoenix, Source Business Center and Nexus Commerce Center in Tempe and Harbor Park in Glendale.
