Asha was born in late may to leopards Denali and Strut.

The cub’s name was chosen after a voting fundraiser between three names: Asha, Isha or Maiya.

Asha’s name means “hope” or “wish” in the Nepalese language, and was reportedly a “runaway favorite”.

Asha and Denali are scheduled to go out on exhibit Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
