Suspect arrested after shooting in SE Houston

A suspect was taken into custody after injuring another person in a shooting in southeast Houston.

The incident happened at 11:41 a.m. Monday morning in the 2600 block of McGowen Street.

Officers with METRO Police Department quickly responded to reports of shots being fired. They apprehended and arrested the suspect without further violence.

The incident did not involve a Houston METRO vehicle, authorities confirmed.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries, but their condition is not clear at this time.
