SAN ANTONIO – A vehicle fire early Tuesday morning at a home on the Northeast Side led to the evacuation of all four units in a small apartment building, leaving one family temporarily displaced.

The fire started just before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at a four-plex off Arancione Avenue near Lookout Road.

Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from both the car and the attached garage. Crews quickly brought the fire under control, preventing further damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

While three of the four families were able to return to their homes, one family has been displaced and is receiving support from the American Red Cross.

Investigators say the fire may have been linked to recent work done on the vehicle just a few days ago, though the investigation is ongoing. T

he fire caused moderate damage to the garage and the car.
