The Alabama singer known as Kirbi is making a joyful noise on “The Voice” this season, earning praise for her heavenly vocals and charismatic stage presence.

Kirbi, 24, whose offstage name is Savanna Kirby, won her Battle Round on the NBC reality series during Monday’s episode, singing Lauren Diagle’s “You Say” with teammate Carolina Rodriguez.

All four celebrity coaches heaped kudos on Kirbi after the performance, and Niall Horan chose to keep her on his team.

“It was just so angelic,” Reba McEntire said. “Kirbi, there’s a totally different sound timbre to your voice that’s sweet, pure, and totally believable.”

“There’s no doubt that you have a tremendous talent,” Michael Buble said. “You have a beautiful presence on stage.”

“Kirbi, strong, beautiful, engaging, great showmanship,“ Snoop Dogg said. ”Such a veteran on stage.”

“It was beautiful. It was emotional. It was everything we want in a battle,” Horan said. “Kirbi, that rasp is just so beautiful at the top of your register that not many people have. And as Snoop said, you look like a veteran up there controlling the stage and controlling what’s coming out of your instrument.”

Kirbi, a contemporary Christian singer from Florence, now moves on to a round known as the Knockouts. She’ll compete against a teammate but sing as a solo artist, trying to impress her coach and remain on Team Niall.

“Kirbi just gave me that level of emotion that I really wanted from the song,” Horan said. “She’s one of the greater storytellers in the competition. That’s what it came down to.”

There was good news on Monday for Kirbi’s teammate, as well. Although Rodriguez lost the Battle, she was “stolen” by Snoop and added to his team. Rodriguez also moves on to the Knockouts for Season 28, which begin on Monday, Oct. 27.

A total of 32 artists will compete in the Knockouts, which feature eight singers from each coach’s team. When the Knockouts are finished, only 16 contestants will remain on the show.

Another singer from Alabama, Jazz McKenzie, has moved on to the Knockouts as a member of Buble’s team. McKenzie, a Birmingham native who lives in Huntsville, won her Battle Round against teammate Trinity, singing Jamiroquai’s “Virtual Insanity.”

Zac Brown and Joe Walsh will serve as “mega-mentors” for the Knockouts, helping the coaches to prepare the singers for this round.
