Scholes, Butt and Bruce all reacted to Manchester United’s sensational 2-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League clash at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
United took an early lead over Liverpool thanks to Bryan Mbeumo’s immediate impact before Cody Gakpo pulled one back for the Reds late in the second half.
However, Harry Maguire cancelled out Cody Gakpo’s equaliser and put United back in the lead over Liverpool after he headed home what would be the match-winner.

Ruben Amorim changed up his tactics for the trip to Anfield and Benjamin Sesko was dropped to the bench, despite scoring in back-to-back Manchester United matches.
Mason Mount operated in a false nine role down the middle and Bryan Mbeumo played out on the right, with Matheus Cunha returning to the starting XI on the left.
Matheus Cunha was a lively presence in the attacking threat during the 90 minutes of Sunday’s 2-1 win and impressed with his overall performance for United.
The 26-year-old Brazilian forward didn’t assist or score against Liverpool, but Cunha’s presence was constant and he remained a real threat for United.
Speaking on Cunha, Paul Scholes said: “Cunha yesterday was brilliant.”
Nicky Butt echoed the sentiments of his ex-United and England teammate by highlighting how the Red Devils have performed without Cunha’s influence.
“Cunha was a big miss,” he told Scholes.

Matheus Cunha was United’s first major summer signing of the window after the Red Devils landed the Brazil international in June from Premier League side Wolves.
The Red Devils triggered the former Wolves forward’s £62.5m release clause after his impressive season at the Molineux in the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.
United legend Bruce, much like former teammates Butt and Scholes, praised Cunha’s display against defending Premier League champions Liverpool at the weekend.
“Cunha’s a top [player]. Good player,” he said.
Cunha has made eight appearances across all competitions for United since his summer move and has not scored or registered an assist so far for his side.
