The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office is set to announce the convictions of three individuals for their roles in a shooting that left three people dead at a North Philadelphia rec center in the summer of 2023.
According to police, the shooting happened on Friday, August 11, 2023, along 8th and Diamond Streets at the basketball courts.
Nyreese Moore, 22, Nassir Folk, 24, and Isaiah Williams, 22, were all killed in the shooting. A fourth shooting victim survived.
A third victim has died following a shooting on Friday night in North Philly. A total of four victims were shot, two were pronounced dead at the scene and another is still in critical condition. Police say the group was gathered at a basketball court when five men began shooting at the victims.
At the time, police said they believed that all of the victims were part of a group gathered at 8th and Diamond streets when five men started shooting at the group.
All five suspects were later arrested.
During a news conference on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office plans to announce first-degree murder convictions of three defendants for their roles in the triple homicide.
