An investigation is underway after police said a woman was shot during a physical altercation with another woman in Philadelphia overnight.
According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, a 25-year-old woman drove herself to Jefferson Frankford Hospital after being shot in the chest.
Small stated that she fought with another woman, who shot her once on Seller Street in the city’s Frankford neighborhood.
According to Small, the woman who is the suspected shooter has a permit to carry a gun and is cooperating with police during this investigation.
Small said investigators will use footage from nearby traffic cameras to help determine exactly what happened.
