As a part of our OTS grant with the City of Imperial Beach, Circulate was tasked with creating wayfinding signage and safety decals to help make walking, biking, and rolling safer and easier. In September, the City of Imperial Beach installed our 6 wayfinding signs and 14 bicycle/pedestrian safety decals at heavily transited areas around the City.
The wayfinding signs were created to help walkers and bicyclists better orient themselves as they go through the City. Each sign includes 2 important Imperial Beach locations with time estimates for those walking and biking.
The safety decals were created to give tips on how to be a safer walker/bicyclist. These were installed in high foot / bike traffic areas. The safety messages include: Keep Your Pets on a Leash, Let Bicycles Pass to Your Left, Protect Your Head, Ring Your Bell, and Use Your Hand Signals.
