The New York Giants’ season has some juice all of a sudden after inserting rookie Jaxson Dart as the starter. Dart has led the Giants to wins over the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles, and nearly pulled off another upset against the Denver Broncos.

Unfortunately for the young quarterback, he has been without who was expected to be his top receiver, Malik Nabers. Nabers’ season was lost early to a torn ACL, but there was optimism he’d make a full reocvery in time for the start of next season.

Unfortunately for Dart and the Giants, Nabers still hasn’t gotten surgery on his ACL, according to one prominent league insider, which could alter his recovery timeline.

“Giants HC Brian Daboll said WR Malik Nabers has not yet undergone surgery for the torn ACL he suffered on September 29. Presumably the procedure will take place once the swelling subsides enough for surgery,” Ari Meirov reported on Thursday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“we literally have no idea clearly there being very cautious about this as they should. we don’t need a odell/shep situation where they knew there surgery was (messed) up and they knew they were gonna tear it again,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Tough break for Malik Nabers the kid was just starting to look like a star before that ACL tear. Hoping for a strong comeback, the Giants are going to miss that spark badly,” another fan added.

“Delaying surgery or delaying the truth? Something feels off here,” someone else wrote.

Hopefully, Nabers is back as soon as possible.
