BCSO: Man shot by Calaveras Power Plant Station security after crashing through gate

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man has been shot after he allegedly crashed through the gate of the Calaveras Power Plant Station in Southeast Bexar County Thursday afternoon.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to the facility at around 5 p.m.

After the man crashed through the gate, security at the power plant opened fire, striking the man in the lower body.

He was transported to a hospital, but there’s been no word on his condition.

The man’s name hasn’t been released and investigators are still working to determine why he crashed the gate.

Officials haven’t said what charges he may face.
