Garmin has started distributing a new stable update for its Instinct E and Instinct 3 smartwatches, including the recent Instinct 3 Tactical. While System Software 9.25 should resolve critical battery mode and BLE sensor issues, Garmin has already raced ahead with Beta Version 10.15 with even more bug fixes and new features.
Garmin has finally brought a critical battery mode bug fix to its Instinct E and Instinct 3 smartwatches, including the recent Instinct 3 Tactical (curr. $499 on Amazon). To recap, the company issued Beta Version 9.22 in mid-June to resolve a bug that could force these smartwatches into critical battery mode regardless of their current charge levels.
Shortly afterwards, Garmin then replaced Beta Version 9.22 with v9.23 and v9.25, which supposedly addressed connectivity issues with BLE sensors while also making various other miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements. Now, the company has transitioned v9.25 to its stable software branch with the improvements of its three recent beta builds. At the time of publication, Garmin claims to have distributed Software Version 9.25 to around 50% of Instinct E and Instinct 3 owners.
Meanwhile, the company has already moved its Beta Program onto Beta Version 10.15 with even more bug fixes. On top of that, Garmin claims to have added Interval Alerts to its Timers app for all but the Instinct 3 Tactical. Similarly, only AMOLED and Solar models have received Rep Alerts within the Jump Rope activity. For the time being, Garmin is only offering Beta Version 10.15 to those who request it manually. The full Beta Version 10.15 changelog is as follows:
