A pair of people were hospitalized after gunfire erupted at a Halloween party in South L.A. late Friday night.
According to information confirmed by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department official, deputies from their department and officers with the Hawthorne Police Department responded to reports of a multi-victim shooting around 10:45 p.m. near El Segundo and La Cienega boulevards, in the Del Aire neighborhood.
“Upon arrival at a residence reportedly hosting a Halloween party, officials found a large crowd of partygoers,” the LASD spokesperson stated.

It was later found that two people were shot, and both self-transported to area hospitals, law enforcement officials said.
Their conditions are not known as of 8 a.m. Saturday.
There was no immediate information surrounding a suspect description. No further details about the shooting were released right away.
