Helping Hands Teardown, a Pacific Beach–based event services company, has announced the launch of a new initiative, Helping Hands for Hearts in Need, aimed at supporting San Diego residents and nonprofits navigating significant challenges.

The program will provide free event services each year to one couple facing extraordinary hardship and one San Diego–based nonprofit organization planning an impactful event with limited resources.

The nomination period is open now through Dec. 31, 2025, with the selected couple and nonprofit to be announced in early 2026. Events must take place between February and December 2026.

Support for Couples

Helping Hands for Hearts in Need will offer free event setup and teardown services to a selected couple in San Diego experiencing major hardship—such as financial struggles, serious illness, or life-altering circumstances—making it possible for them to celebrate a wedding that may otherwise be out of reach.

Support for Nonprofits

The program also extends to one local nonprofit organization each year, providing free event logistics support to help ensure their fundraiser, awareness event, or gathering runs smoothly.

  • Who Can Apply: Nonprofits can apply directly or be nominated by a community member.
