Four people, including a child, have been taken to the hospital following a gas leak in Toronto’s Weston area.
The incident happened at a mixed-use building at 1942 Weston Rd., north of Lawrence Avenue West.
Toronto fire said they were called to that address just after 5 p.m. for a medical call.
There, firefighters located a patient with symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning and crews noted higher than normal levels of the gas.
The building was evacuated and buses were brought in for shelter, they said.

Paramedics told CTV News Toronto that they transported three adults and a child to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of this incident is unknown at this time.
