PHOENIX (KVOA) – Arizona hunters have another chance to secure a javelina hunt permit-tag after missing out on the 2026 spring draw.
The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) has released a list of leftover hunt permit-tags available on its website, along with a printable paper application.
Available tags include 708 for handgun, archery, or muzzleloader (HAM) javelina, 434 for archery-only javelina, 39 for general javelina, 72 for youth-only general javelina, 11 for CHAMP general javelina, and eight for raptor capture.
Additionally, eight tags are available for properly licensed military and Fort Huachuca personnel with a valid Fort Huachuca post hunting permit. Specific hunt numbers and regulations can be obtained from Fort Huachuca.
AZGFD will begin accepting paper applications by U.S. mail only starting Nov. 3.

Hunters should allow 10 to 15 business days to receive their permit by mail.
