An armed bank robbery occurred Tuesday afternoon at the University of Houston student center, according to a campus security alert from the university.
According to the UH alert, a man with a handgun allegedly robbed the Texas Dupont Employees Credit Union (TDECU) at the Student Center South at approximately 4:15 p.m.
The suspected robber is described as a Black man wearing a black Astros baseball hat and a black long-sleeve hoodie with black pants and white shoes.
He was last seen driving toward the MLK Southbound/Calhoun exit in a silver SUV. The weapon was described as a black handgun.
As of Tuesday evening, a university spokesperson said no further details were available. A spokesperson for the Houston Police Department said it was not involved with the investigation.
