Julian Sayin doesn’t consider himself the Heisman frontrunner.

The Ohio State quarterback gives that distinction to Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson.

“When I visited Bama, I visited a few times,” Sayin told the Down 2 Business podcast. “Ty was always my host, and he’s a good dude. He’s a great player. I still text him today, so I’m going to say Ty. He’s having a great year.”

Simpson has the Crimson Tide at 7-1 (5-0 in SEC) behind his 2,184 yards passing and 20 touchdowns. He has only one interception on the season and has completed 68 percent of his passes (177 of 261).

Not that Sayin isn’t have a great year himself.

Sayin is completing 80 percent of passes with a 156-of-195 mark for 1,872 yards and 19 TDs with just three interceptions.

Sayin is currently the No. 3 favorite for the Heisman at BetMGM behind Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza and Simpson at +325 each. Sayin is at +400, and ahead of Texas A&M’s Marcel Reed at +550.
