NATCHEZ — The extensive and rare collection of fine silver and Philadelphia and Irish furnishings, among other treasurers, owned by Jerold D. “Jerry” Krouse of Natchez are displayed in an 82-page magazine created by Brunk Auctions of Asheville, N.C.
Krouse’s collection goes on auction on Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. CST.
“Jerry Krouse put together a very significant collection of the finest of Philadelphia and Irish furniture,” said Richard Branyan of Lower Lodge Conservation in Natchez. “It is the rarest collection ever put together outside of a museum.”
Branyan said Krouse worked with Allen Miller to purchase his collection. “Allen Miller is the God of Philadelphia Furniture.”
All of Krouse’s collection is heavily ornamented and carved, Branyan said.
