The nonprofit La Mesa History Center, which celebrates its 50th year, holds its annual home tour, “Golden Gems of La Mesa,” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 8. POWAY: Firefighters, police, interfaith team hold community resource fair
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office Poway Station and Poway Fire Department along with the Poway Interfaith Team recently hosted a free “Faith and Blue” Community Resource Faire for families. The event introduced the community to Poway Captain Claudia Delgado, Poway Fire Chief Brian Mitchell, deputies and fire fighters along with members of the Poway Interfaith Team. The event included tables of information about community resources and a display of a fire engine and helicopter.
