It’s a day celebrated throughout the five boroughs every fall: Marathon day.

The 2025 TCS New York City Marathon returns on Sunday, and we have everything you need to know — whether you’re running in the race, cheering from the sidelines, or are looking to avoid any traffic headaches.

When is the 2025 New York City marathon?

The 26.2-mile New York City marathon will take place Sunday, Nov. 2 at 8 a.m.

Everyone who entered the non-guaranteed entry drawing for the race, whether they were accepted or not, was scheduled to be notified on March 5.
