The arena issue led to a higher voter turnout than usual for an off-year election.
“We think it’s really important to get our voices out there especially in our local elections,” one voter told our TV partner, News 4. “I’m really adamant that San Antonio does not need Prop A and B.”
Bexar County elections administrator, Michele Carew said more than 143,000 people participated in early voting.
“What we’ve noticed the most in this election is that voters are turning out. We’ve been comparing our numbers to 2023, and we surpassed the entire early voting period over the weekend.”
