Despite expectations of the playoffs and (at least according to general manager Nico Harrison) title contention, the Dallas Mavericks rocketed out of the gate to a 2-3 record. Led by putrid offense, mediocre defense, and a small litany of injuries, the Mavericks have looked bad!

As a result, we took a poll before the Pacers game to see what the fanbase was feeling.

Four in five Dallas fans are concerned about this bad start. That actually makes me feel better. I talk with so many different types of fans, but uber-optimists have dominated my interactions as of late.

The second question we asked had to do with mixing up this big-ball offensive line up head coach Jason Kidd starts the game with. D’Angelo Russell should start, but for who?

This one is kind of a given. Klay Thompson has been real bad. But I like PJ Washington going to the bench just because him dominating bench players in his minutes has appeal.

On the national side of things we have polls and results about the Eastern Conference top six and Western Conference top six.

It’s funny to me there are only five teams here getting results. The Pacers being one of them is also funny, then again they were pretty bleh until the midpoint of the season last year.

This looks right, at least after a week. The Clippers will force their way into the conversation, probably past the Rockets. But for now, this works well and is an accurate reflection of the West as a whole.

Remember to look for the sign-ups as part of the weekly poll and you can ahave your opinion help dictate the results.
