Waymo crash under investigation in Phoenix

According to Waymo, its vehicle was hit by the second vehicle involved in the crash.

PHOENIX — A crash involving a Waymo is under investigation in Phoenix, according to authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department said the two-vehicle crash happened just before 2:15 a.m. Sunday near Scottsdale Road and Greenway Parkway.

According to Waymo, its vehicle was hit by the second vehicle involved in the crash.

A woman was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons following the crash.

Waymo said there was no one in the Waymo vehicle at the time of the crash.
