Dilworth Park is transforming into a hub for winter fun this month with the return of the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Cabin, the Wintergarden and the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market.

The Cabin has been redesigned this year through a new partnership with Centre Square Hospitality, and will hold a full bar, banquet seating and sleek décor—including TVs for game days and fire pits. The menu will feature bites like tomato soup and grilled cheese, jumbo pretzel charcuterie and chicken & waffle nachos, while the bar will hold craft cocktails made with Basil Hayden bourbon, as well as beer, wine and ready-to-canned options. Private rental packages of The Cabin are also available to reserve by contacting rentals@centercityphila.org.

The food and drinks provide plenty of fuel to hit the ice, with the Ice Rink open daily next door. Admission comes out to be $7 for children (10 and younger) and $10 for adults, with skate rentals running at $10  per person. Discounts are also available for groups of 10 or more for timed, 90-minute sessions (reservations are available to book now online).

The Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Cabin will kick off Nov. 14 and remain open every day through Feb. 22, 2026. Children and adults with physical or developmental disabilities can also reserve a sled for skating beginning Jan. 5 through its last day.

At the southern end of Dilworth Park, the Wintergarden on the Albert M. Greenfield Lawn (open Nov. 14 through March 15) will transform into “an open-air oasis featuring hundreds of twinkling and colored lights, illuminated overhead sculptures and seasonal foliage.” A Chaddsford Winery kiosk will also be housed in the space to sell warm mulled wine.

Additionally, for the first time at Dilworth Park, Center City District will also host two Breakfast with Santa events on Saturdays, Dec. 13 and 20. Families can enjoy a full buffet breakfast and a meet-and-greet before hitting the ice with Santa himself. (Note: these events will be ticketed, and reservations are required.)

The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market (open daily from Nov. 14 through Jan. 1, sans Christmas Day) will also be on site to showcase dozens of local vendors from the Philadelphia region. The decorated stalls will sell everything from home goods to jewelry to skincare, to artwork, to artisan treats and everything in between.

Some other dates to look out for at Dilworth this winter include the Cabin’s weekday happy hour (Mondays through Thursdays, 5 to 7 p.m.) and Trivia Nights (every Wednesday beginning Jan. 7), College Nights presented by Temple University (Thursdays from 5:30 to 9 p.m. beginning Nov. 20), a Lunar New Year Celebration (Feb. 21, 5 to 7 p.m.) and free admission to the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink on Mondays and Tuesdays in February.

“Each year when the rink reopens, we’re reminded just how special this tradition is, not only for our community, but also as a tribute to our late founder, Dr. Richard H. Rothman,” said Alexander R. Vaccaro, President of Rothman Orthopaedics.

“At Rothman Orthopaedics, we believe strongly in keeping our community active and mobile, and the rink is a perfect example of that mission in action. It brings people of all ages together to enjoy the outdoors, stay healthy, and create lasting memories.”
