Cal Fire San Diego crews are working on extinguishing a vegetation fire that broke out just before 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon near Highway 78 and San Felipe Road, according to a post on Cal Fire’s X.

At 4.p.m fire authorities said that the Scissors Fire is approximately 40 acres, is 0% contained, and has a moderate rate of spread.

At this moment there are no structures threatened nor any evacuation orders issued.
