FLEMING ISLAND – You won’t find the most visited recreational area on Fleming Island on the Clay County government’s website.
Sure, there are some spectacular parks and trails in the area, like the Black Creak Mountain Trail, Black Creek Park and Trail, Doctors Lake Park, Eagle Harbor Park, Eagle Harbor Soccer Complex, Moccasin Slough, Neptune Park, Oak Creek Park, Plantation Sports Complex and Thunderbolt Park.
But if you don’t mind forgoing the slides, swing sets and picnic tables, and you simply want a picturesque walk amongst moss-draped trees with other nature enthusiasts, then the walking trail along Town Center Boulevard near the Golf Club at Fleming Island is for you.
But if it’s a county park with boat launches and playgrounds, you’re in luck, too.
