FARGO— A brand new home for CrossFit Fargo is on its way, bringing with it classes, childcare services, nutrition programs and ample space for all types of personal growth and training.
Fargo Fitness Project held its groundbreaking ceremony June 25 at 6244 51st Ave. S. to celebrate the development of the new facility, which will be home to CrossFit Fargo, Abundant Blessings Childcare, CJ’s Stay and Play Drop-in Daycare, Immersion Recovery and more.
“Originally, we were going to build just a new CrossFit gym,” Jake Haile, founder of Fargo Fitness Project and owner of CrossFit Fargo, said. “Then I started thinking about it, and I was like, what does the community need even more than that? We need a fitness hub— a space where people can have their needs met and have the opportunity to invest in themselves, with their nutrition met, and childcare and all those things.”

According to the Fargo Fitness Project website, CJ’s Stay and Play and Abundant Blessings Childcare Center integrate a faith and fitness approach to nurturing the next generation. The Abundant Blessings program aims to instill healthy habits and strong values from an early age, supporting the comprehensive development of the community’s children.
Jake and his wife, Allison, who will be running the childcare center, have worked with children and child fitness in previous years. Jake served as director for TNT Kids Fitness, and Allison is a case manager for Community Living Services.
Allison plans to have the full-time childcare services cover children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old, with business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. on weekdays, and the drop-in care to be available for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old, primarily in the evenings and weekends.
Another wing of the facility, the Immersion Recovery and Mindset Center, will feature cold tubs, saunas and other amenities, providing space for physical recovery and mental reset.
“We are committed to developing people physically, creating the behavior and discipline necessary to achieve health and fitness goals, and fostering growth in all other vital areas of a person’s life: socially, emotionally and spiritually,” Jake said.

Haile’s CrossFit Fargo and Immersion LLC are currently located down the road from the new facility, with Immersion operating out of the back of CrossFit Fargo. The new center will be a collaborative community space with multiple tubs together and a group sauna, unlike the individualized setup at the current location.
The new facility will also include a nutrition club to fuel members for energizing before a workout or recharging after. The club will offer access to nutrient-rich options and serve as a communal meeting space for individuals committed to healthy living and mutual support, sharing workout tips and other gym-related life hacks.
“Nutrition, coffee, protein soups, and protein sweet treats,” Jake said. “Things that you will fuel your body, like post-exercise, but also just a space you can go and have a cup of coffee and have a meeting.”
The group wants to help invest in the Rocking Horse community and give the current members of CrossFit Fargo and clients of Immersion a new place that will fit all their workout and communal needs.

Aiming to build a stronger, fitter community, Fargo Fitness Project seeks to create a space where people can come together to have meaningful experiences and opportunities to grow and better themselves, while still being satisfied with who they are.
“The Fargo Fitness Project is more than just a gym,” Jake said. “It’s a comprehensive wellness hub designed to foster growth in every aspect of life.”
Construction of the facility had already begun before the ceremony took place, with the landscape flattened and some cement laid. Community members and business partners came together to celebrate the start of the development journey.
Fargo Fitness Project plans to open its doors this fall, offering a wellness hub to the heart of the Rocking Horse Farm community.
