Winning a district title is a feat in itself, but going back-to-back might be an even bigger one.

Several Dallas-area districts have not yet crowned a district champion entering the final week of the Texas high school football regular season. But just as many have, and their champions also won district titles last year.

Defending 6A Division I state champion North Crowley wrapped up its fourth consecutive district title with a win over Mansfield last week. Southlake Carroll, the state’s top-ranked 6A team, went back-to-back in District 4-6A. Five-time state champion Allen clinched its second consecutive district title, holding off Prosper 31-30 in Week 9 to distance itself from the District 6-6A pack.

West Mesquite, 7-0 in District 6-5AI, is the back-to-back district champion, and Argyle, a 5A Division II state semifinalist last season, won its fourth straight district title.
