Dallas Stars goalie Jake Oettinger and wife Kennedi announced Wednesday night the birth of their first child, Rhodes Oettinger.
The couple posted a short clip to Instagram of a newborn baby boy.

Oettinger missed Tuesday’s game against the Oilers while tending to the birth of Rhodes, Dallas in the meantime scraping away a shootout win vs. Edmonton behind backup goalie Casey DeSmith.
There’s not yet word on if Oettinger will be available for the Stars’ Thursday night matchup against the Ducks.
The Stars have points in their last seven games, including in Tuesday’s shootout win over the Oilers.
This year’s Stars have found a way to be resilient through what’s been a trying stretch of games for Glen Gulutzan’s team.
