Late in the first quarter, the Dallas Mavericks were stuck in the mud against the lowly Pelicans, trailing 24-15 with about two minutes left in the first quarter.
But rookie star Cooper Flagg set the American Airlines Center ablaze with a thunderous alley-oop finish. Brandon Williams grabbed a missed shot, pushed the ball up the floor in transition to Naji Marshall. Marshall attacked the rim and served up a lob to Flagg who finished the dunk with authority, absorbing contact from Karlo Matkovic for an and-one. Flagg made the ensuing free throw to complete the and-one.
It was the second time in the young season that Flagg turned heads with a poster dunk, as he also went viral on Oct. 26 with an incredible dunk against the Raptors.
