The LA Clippers (3-4) face the Phoenix Suns (3-5) Wednesday with tip-off at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona, set for 9 p.m. ET (NBA TV). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Clippers vs. Suns odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.
Season Series: Clippers lead 1-0 with a 129-102 home win on Oct. 24, covering as 10.5-point favorite as the Over (223.5) hit
The Clippers dropped their second straight game Tuesday, losing 126-107 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. They failed to cover as 8.5-point home underdogs as the Over (220) hit easily. Los Angeles struggled inside, being outscored 50-30 in the paint. G James Harden led the way with 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists.
The Phoenix Suns saw their 2-game win streak end Tuesday with a 118-107 loss to the Golden State Warriors. Phoenix couldn’t cover as 10.5-point road underdogs as the Under (235.5) hit. G Devin Booker led the offense with a season-high 38 points, and C Mark Williams handled the paint with 16 points and 16 rebounds, including 9 on the offensive glass.

Clippers at Suns picks and predictionsPrediction
Suns 119, Clippers 110
PASS.
You could obviously bet the Suns (-145) on the moneyline, but I’d rather take the better odds on the spread.
BET SUNS -2.5 (-110).
Phoenix is back home, where they’re 3-1 this season, and their only loss came on a last-second shot. Since then, they’ve blown out the Utah Jazz and San Antonio Spurs by double digits. The Suns have also owned this matchup lately, winning 5 of the last 6 overall and 4 of the last 5 at home.
The Clippers just haven’t figured it out on the road, dropping 5 of their last 6 away from L.A., and their turnover problems keep showing up. That’s bad news against a Suns team that loves to push the pace and score in transition. Booker has been lights out at home, hitting 52% from deep, and I think he keeps that rolling.
With the Suns playing confident basketball at home and the Clippers struggling to find rhythm, I like Phoenix to cover the short number here so grab before the line moves any higher.
BET OVER 223.5 (-110).
When these teams met earlier this season, the total went Over — the same mark set for their upcoming matchup at 223.5 points. The Over has hit in 7 of 8 Suns games and in 5 of 7 Clippers contests. Combined, they average 228.6 points per game, 5.1 above this total. Phoenix’s defense has struggled, allowing 120.3 points per game, making another high-scoring matchup likely.
