PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Drivers in the Valley can expect some delays along sections of the Loop 101 and Loop 202 this weekend as the Arizona Department of Transportation continues freeway improvement projects.
In Scottsdale, lanes on the southbound Loop 101 will be closed between Hayden Road and Shea Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project. The eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Scottsdale Road will also be closed.
Closures or lane restrictions for freeway improvement projects are scheduled in the Phoenix area this weekend (Nov. 7-10), according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.(ADOT)
Drivers can use southbound State Route 51 to eastbound Shea Boulevard. They can also exit to southbound Scottsdale Road to reach eastbound Shea Boulevard.
There will also be closures for drivers in Chandler and Ahwatukee who drive on the Loop 202 this weekend.
Westbound Loop 202 lanes between Kyrene Road and 40th Street will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday for pavement sealing.
All westbound Loop 202 ramps to and from I-10 near Chandler Boulevard will be closed as well.
Eastbound Loop 202 lanes will also see some closures this weekend, with lanes between Williams Field and Higley roads closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement maintenance.
Some lanes will also be narrowed to two lanes on the Eastbound Loop 202 between Alma School Road and Arizona Avenue in Chandler from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
To get around the delays on the Loop 202, drivers can use eastbound Williams Field or Germann roads to Higley Road.
ADOT will also be conducting bridge work along Arizona Avenue, closing it in both directions at Loop 202 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Lanes on Southbound I-17 will also be impacted as the frontage road will close between Camelback and Indian School roads from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 10) for pavement maintenance.
The Southbound I-17 off- and on-ramps at Camelback Road and the off-ramp at Indian School Road will also be closed.
