PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police have converged on two scenes in west Phoenix after a suspect reportedly shot a man, then shot himself and drove away late Friday morning.
Officers responded to an apartment complex at 99th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road, near the Tolleson border, around 10:45 a.m. There, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators learned that the suspect shot the man, then shot himself and drove away from the apartment building before police arrived.
Officers soon located the suspect in a QuikTrip parking lot near 99th Avenue and Van Buren Street, about two miles north of the shooting scene. He was also taken to the hospital in serious condition with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
