WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Jefferson County officials are laying out the schedule for when SNAP benefits will be paid in November.
It comes after Governor Kathy Hochul ordered on Friday that state agencies issue full federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for this month.
According to Jefferson County, benefits will be deposited on EBT cards beginning November 9 through November 13.
It’s noted that the process will take several days and the county urges people to be patient.
Also, once all existing recipients are funded, NYS is expected to accept new SNAP applications and people applying are told to be sure to follow through with any appointments and paperwork that is required.
SNAP benefits are not being funded through the federal government due to the government shutdown.
