The phrase “too close to call” is thrown around liberally in the early hours and days after election night.

In the case of Glendale’s $35 million operations bond vote  Nov. 4, that terminology becomes more true with each passing update.

Updated totals released by Maricopa County at 4:37 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, show Glendale’s bond question failig by a mere 25 votes, with 12,627 against (50.05%) and 12,602 (49.95%) for it.  On election night, the no votes led by nearly 300.
