Luisa Geiselsoder blasted a Caitlin Clark fan’s take, claiming that Paige Bueckers lacked ‘killer instinct’ in her game. The Dallas Wings center made a guest appearance on “The Journey” podcast on Saturday.

The show’s host, Enosch Wolf, asked Geiselsoder to choose between her teammate and the Indiana Fever star guard. The Wings center delved into her thoughts before naming Paige Bueckers as the winner in the matchup.

The fans had a lot to say about Geiselsoder’s opinion. They swarmed the post’s comment section with their take on the Wings star’s opinions, and on the Bueckers-Clark matchup. One fan gave the Fever guard an upper hand in the matchup.

“Caitlin Clark is revolutionizing women’s basketball right now. Paige Bueckers is extremely good but without ‘killer instinct’,” one fan said.

However, the Wings center disagreed with the fan’s take, responding with a bold comment in the same thread.

“Caitlin Clark is definitely and an important part of the revolution in women’s basketball. Definitely not the only one tho…. Paige Bueckers has a “killer instinct” I can confirm 100% from live experience. :)” Geiselsoder wrote.

The Dallas Wings had a rough run last season. They finished at the bottom of the standings with a 10-34 record. However, Bueckers had a strong rookie season, averaging 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game on 47.7% shooting from the field. She won the Rookie of the Year award to close her first season in the league.

How did Paige Bueckers’ rookie season fare against Caitlin Clark’s first stint?

Paige Bueckers arrived in Dallas as the first pick of the 2025 draft. She found herself in a similar situation to Caitlin Clark, who arrived in Indiana as the first pick in the 2024 draft. Both Bueckers and Clark had immense expectations on their shoulders as they joined teams that were struggling to reach the top of the league.

Bueckers showed glimpses of her great potential in a few matches. However, her efforts were not enough to get the Wings back in the playoffs. Dallas has not made a playoff appearance since the 2023 season.

On the other hand, Caitlin Clark had led her team to the playoffs in her rookie season. It was a big moment for Fever fans as Indiana had not been in a playoff basketball game since 2016. She achieved this feat while averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game.

Both stars won the Rookie of the Year award in their first season. However, Clark’s playoff stint with the Fever gives her an edge over Buckers in the history books.
