Is it possible for it to look like Christmas on Tuesday? The answer is no.

However, some snowflakes could come flying by anywhere between the Lehigh Valley into Berks County and especially up in the Pocono Mountains.

We continue to track a very powerful system that makes its way out of the Northeast.

Cold winds will be howling from the Great Lakes.

Those gusty winds will be dragging some lake-effect snow across Pennsylvania and New York.

Some of those snow streamers may actually get close to our region but it is very unlikely for us to see some of the white puffy flakes near Philadelphia.

A better opportunity of seeing clouds bringing those ice crystals falling from the sky will be north and west of the Interstate 95 corridor.

These will likely be the first snowflakes of the season but we are not expecting them to be impactful.

It is still too early in the season for any snow to stick. because ground temperatures are still above freezing.

Meteorological winter doesn’t start until Dec. 1, 2025.
