EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Phoebe Robinson has signed with OPE Partners‘ DC Wade for management.
Robinson is coming off the October 7 YouTube debut of her sophomore special I Don’t Wanna Work Anymore, in which she brings her raw and unfiltered perspective to topics including the myths and realities of being a girlboss, the perils of wearing a thong, and the real reason that women start book clubs and launch businesses on Etsy. We announced the special, filmed at Dynasty Typewriter in Los Angeles, on which Robinson was an EP, in addition to writing and performing. Matt Schuler produced the special, directed by Shahrzad Davani.
Also an actor, producer, podcaster, publisher and bestselling author, Robinson premiered her debut special Sorry, Harriet Tubman on HBO Max in 2021. She’s best known for her work as co-creator and star, alongside Jessica Williams, of the hit podcast-turned-HBO series 2 Dope Queens, as well as for creating and starring in the Freeform comedy series Everything’s Trash.
Earlier in her career, Robinson wrote on the IFC comedy Portlandia. She’s also made numerous other television appearances on everything from The Today Show and Late Night with Seth Meyers to The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, and Broad City.
Robinson continues to be represented by UTA and Sechel PR.
