The crash happened around 9 a.m. in the area of 11th Avenue and Carefree Highway.
PHOENIX — A crash in north Phoenix on Tuesday morning has left a male bicyclist seriously hurt, according to the city’s police department.
At about 9:01 a.m., officers were reportedly called to a bicycle-car crash in the area of 11th Avenue and Carefree Highway.
Police said when they arrived on the scene, a bicyclist was being treated by an off-duty officer for injuries. The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, officials said.
The driver of the car and a woman remained on scene, according to police.
Impairment is reportedly not believed to be a factor.
